Peer Mentoring Awards 2017

Dublin Institute of Technology Student2Student Peer Mentoring Evening with students in their 2nd, 3rd and final year.  The students were presented with their certificates by Norah Casey, broadcaster and publishing entrepreneur, and former Dragon in the popular television series Dragons’ Den.

 

Peer Mentoring Awards 2016

Peer Students in their 2nd, 3rd and final year were presented with certificates at this year's Peer Mentoring Awards Ceremony  in recognition of the commitment and efforts asv they helped fir‌st y‌ear ‌students talk through any questions they had about their course, assignments and exams.  The awards ceremony was hosted this year in by the Capuchin Day Centre in Bow Street, Dublin 7 which provides up to 300 breakfasts every morning of those who sleep on the streets or in hotels. it also provides up to 3500 dinners on a daily basis.  Br. Kevin, who was recently awarded the Freedom of the City of Dublin for his work with the homeless, spoke to the students about how the centre provides support, mentoring and encouragement to the many visitors to the centre while ensuring that people hold onto their dignity.
